Dave Edwardz is an award-winning Australian filmmaker that is well versed in both live-action and VFX. He’s written and directed several short films that have screened at some of the most prestigious festivals around the world, including Clermont-Ferrand in France. His work often combines the fantastic with the domestic, and explores the amorphous nature of the human relationships that bind us together.

With roots in 2D animation, Dave is a highly trained traditional artist that brings his visual sensibility to all of his work. He has over a decade’s experience in the animation / VFX industry, but has since transitioned to live-action filmmaking after completing an MSA in Directing at the Australian, Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS). His animation credits include Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, Dr. Strange, Happy Feet 2, Fury Road, and The Lego Movie.

Dave is currently working on a feature film adaptation of The Trophy Thief.
